God's Toys

So tortuous are the skeins of destiny,
only untangled by the holy trinity,
for we are only lesser mortals,
living out our lives by tiny morsels.

And here's what distinguishes the fearful from the brave,
and what deprives many from the joys,
the thought that we are just god's toys,
and that a better tomorrow is something we should never crave.
